Welcome.

My name is Rebecca-Anne Whittaker (she/her/hers) and making theater sets my soul on fire.

I am a first generation Caribbean-American actor, singer, and writer. I grew up in South Florida, where I was practically raised in a barn. Seriously. If you had asked little me what I wanted to be when I grew up, I would have told you I’d be the first Black equestrian on the US Olympic Showjumping Team. And while horses and the Florida sunshine will always have a piece of my heart, I’ve been making my way up north since undergrad at Vassar College. I recently graduated with my MFA in Acting from Brown University/Trinity Rep.

I work from a place of fierce curiosity and reckless joy. I’m committed to telling stories of liberation. I’m fascinated by the conversation between vulnerability, fortitude, and the stories we hold in our bodies. I am grounded by my ancestors and guided by the voices of the Black women who came before me. I am dedicated to lifting our legacy and unapologetically declaring our history, our healing, our song.
